With their inherent ability to make a space feel airy and more expansive, vaulted ceilings aren't, however, great at inducing a cozy, intimate feeling. In a bedroom, for example, a vaulted ceiling might not be the best choice if you're looking for something cozier in the room's architectural design.
Ceiling beams are hot right now (and have appealed to many for a long time), and vaulted ceilings are a great way to expose and emphasize those beams. This adds character and charm to the space…without a hint of claustrophobia.
First of all, you need to take into consideration the size of the room so that the ceiling fan can be efficient. For a room that measures 75 square feet or less, a 30 to 36 inch fan would be perfect. The 36 to 42 inch ones are ok for rooms that measure up to 144 square feet. For even larger rooms, opt for a 50 to 54 inch fan. Another option is to get two or more fans if you think one is not enough.
